<p>Presentation Abstract: <br />Solve detective-like problems using your electrical engineering or computer science skills. Develop your business skills while working with clients ranging from attorneys to executives to technical staff. Work alongside hundreds of bright, like-minded engineers from around the world.  Welcome to the exciting world of a Technical Consultant!  This presentation will help students understand the role of the technical consultant, the career opportunities available to them, and how to expand their advanced degree as a consultant. Case studies describing examples of engineering failure analysis, product design, and accident investigation will be discussed.</p>

               <p>The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will hold a Patent Examiner Recruitment Open House Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, at USPTO Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. The agency's goal is to hire 1500 new examiners for fiscal year 2012 - electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering degrees preferred.</p>
<p>To schedule an interview, individuals need to register at <a class="external-link" href="http://www.usptocareers.gov/jobfair/">http://www.usptocareers.gov/jobfair/</a>. The deadline to schedule an interview for the Open House is Tuesday, May 15, 2012.</p>

               <p>Tell us your visionary ideas about the production processes of the future. <br /><br /> International Innovation Competition on the Future of Automotive Production<br /><br /> How will people work in production? What qualification concepts and/or kinds of cooperation will the future of production require? Present us your ideas and concepts on the “People in production” issue and win the Audi Production Award 2012!  <br /><br />We offer the Audi Production Award for the third time this year. It is our international innovation competition on the future of automotive production and actively promotes the cooperation of science and industry. It also provides students, engineers and scientists of all disciplines and from all over the world with an opportunity to develop visionary ideas, discuss them with our production experts and expedite them in projects.
